Here are 7 simple, effective ways to stay cool this summer—on the course or in the gym.
1. Come Early or Go Late
The middle of the day is the hottest. Try booking early morning tee times or stopping by the gym after work to avoid peak heat. We open early and close late to help you stay flexible and safe.
2. Hydrate Like It’s Your Job
Water is essential—especially in the summer. Bring a reusable bottle, sip steadily, and don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Electrolyte drinks are even better after a long session. Forgot your bottle? We’ve got you covered inside.
3. Dress for the Heat
Light, breathable clothing can make a big difference. Golfers—opt for moisture-wicking polos and sun hats. Gym goers—choose lightweight gear and bring a towel. Staying dry helps keep you cool and focused.
4. Use Cooling Towels or Ice Packs
A damp towel on your neck or a cold compress on your wrists can instantly lower your body temp. Toss one in your golf bag or gym bag—you’ll thank yourself later.
5. Take Shade Breaks
If you’re playing 9 or 18 holes, stop in the shade now and then. We’ve got shaded areas around the course and fans in the gym to help you stay comfortable. Even 2–3 minutes in the shade helps your body recover.
6. Know the Signs of Heat Exhaustion
Feeling dizzy, overly fatigued, or getting cramps? Stop and cool down. It’s not worth pushing too hard—our staff is always nearby to help if you need water, shade, or a quick break.
